Grouse Hunting
Ruffed Grouse, referred to by locals as Partridge, are both delicious, and plentiful in the Perrault Falls area. There are also pockets of Sharp-Tail Grouse to be found. Grouse hunting is one of the most relaxing, enjoyable hunting experiences you can have in Northwestern Ontario. Hunters are able to access a vast network of old logging roads, and wildlife trails, either by foot, ATV or vehicle. Perhaps you simply want to get our ATV out for some riding, or enjoy hearing the leaves crunch under your feet on the woodland trails. The opportunities are endless.
Small game hunting season for grouse opens on the 15th of September annually and continues until the Lodge closes in the fall, which is usually early to mid October. The weather is crisp and comfortable for spending time in the woods. This is the time of year that hunters can easily combine their partridge hunting with some excellent fall fishing. Take advantage of our reasonable Fishing Package Plans or Cottage Rental Rates, and divide your time at your leisure between fishing Perrault Lake and hunting the woods in the area, during your stay.
